The Free Breakfast Movement x JillisBlack Collaboration Part 2

First and foremost we would like to thank everyone who helped make the first collaboration between Free Breakfast and the incomparable Jill-Is-Black (@JillisBlack) a huge success! Your social media shares and your purchases helped us raise money for The Decarceration Collective - money that helped marginalized people in real time! I met the co-founder personally this July and her report on what we were all able to achieve through the power of the village was inspiring. Accordingly, we are back at it!
Continuing her pledge to support the work of Black people supporting other Black people, Jill-is-Black (JillisBlack) has teamed up with the Free Breakfast Movement again to raise money for another very worthy not-for-profit organization, Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle. Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle (LBS) is a grassroots think-tank which advances the public policy interest of Black people in Baltimore through youth leadership development, political advocacy, and autonomous intellectual innovation.
From LBS:
"We will remain unbeholden to any foundation, nonprofit, or political party; as an unapologetically Black independent group of concerned leaders engaging the public policy arena."
LBS is currently working to achieve the following objectives:
-Become a full-fledged public policy entity positioned to effectively address the complex issues facing Black Baltimore residents in every arena of civil society.
-‎Become a world-renowned Black research institution that combines academic rigor, tactical vision, accessible communication, and a Black Power framework.
-‎Facilitate a world-class youth leadership institution that connects policy debate and social justice to the development of positive self-identity for Black youth.
Grab a tee here and support a great cause!
Jill and the Free Breakfast Movement will be donating $5 from each t-shirt sale and $10 from each crewneck sale to this amazing group of public servants. Please support our efforts by copping some gear AND by sharing our effort on your social media networks.
About @JillisBlack: Jill is a writer, facilitator/lecturer, and community activist dedicated to effectuating substantive change by any means necessary. You can catch her in the Chi at The Miseducation of Solution(s) with special guest Lupe Fiasco. Details below!
